SOCIAL SUPPORT

After the head injury, life got harder. We all needed other people to help us make sense of and simplify what was happening!   We are a family and we are here for each other.   Sharing ideas, experiences, and always a shoulder to lean on and a hand up after a fall. At the Light Switch Foundation we will get stronger,  we will get smarter,  we will get better...    together.

AN ACTIVE BRAIN

From cognitive enhancement games to Paddle boarding.   From hiking and snow sports to Yoga developed by the "Love Your Brain" community focused on TBI survivors.   Bringing the light and consciousness back to life.   Learning new ways to breath and meditate can help quiet the noise, and let us think clearly, heal, and rewire our brain to where we want it.    A world of literature, art, and music is an amazing way to stoke the senses and a fire in your heart and mind.  Snow sports, Camping, Learning to play again, and living the life of beauty in the mountains.   We are a club of survivors, families, and advocates who are looking for other survivors and care givers to live, learn, and grow with.  Growing, achieving, and exploring together; all with a focus on our brain, our smile, and a future so bright... you gotta wear shades!!

Volunteer Program

Amazing souls helping grow the love of our community! We love and appreciate our volunteers and we would love your help in any way you would like to give!

  -  A board of directors with TBI in mind.

Our board of directors understands what it means to learn from people who know. The Light Switch Foundation is lead by people who learn more everyday about what it's like to strengthen our brain and what TBI rehabilitation means at each stage of the process.   Come be part of the magic of turning on the light and illuminating lives.

READING CLUB

A wise scholar once said:

The only things that really changes and heals us are the places we go, the people we meet, and the BOOKS we read...

For many of us recovering from a TBI, we don't think that extensive reading is in the cards; for many reasons;  however,  there are multiple ways to enjoy the literary arts without being able to follow the lines in a book.   Lets explore a world of information and imagination together!   Let's grow our brain power!!
